First things first

Westampton homes often have a Mount Holly address

Westampton shares the 08060 ZIP code with Mount Holly, so many Westampton homes carry a Mount Holly mailing address. That address does not mean a home is in Mount Holly Township, which has its own government and tax rate.

Westampton was carved from the old Northampton Township in 1850, and Eastampton was split off from Westampton in 1880. We confirm the municipality and the block and lot on every property, because that decides the tax bill and the town rules.

Neighborhoods

  • Rancocas: A historic village whose district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, with 46 contributing buildings.
  • Timbuctoo: A settlement on the north bank of the North Branch of Rancocas Creek, begun in 1826 by free Black residents and formerly enslaved people.
  • Woodlane: Another named community within the township.
